Ingredients
  

  • 2.5 cup All-purpose flour sifted
  • 1.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup Cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp Red food coloring
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp Baking soda

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch cake pans.
  • In a bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda.

  • In another bowl, beat sugar, oil, and eggs until smooth. Add buttermilk, vanilla, and food coloring.
    1.5 cup Granulated sugar, 1 cup Buttermilk, 2 Large eggs, 0.5 cup Vegetable oil, 1 tbsp Red food coloring, 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet until just combined.
  • Divide batter between pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  • Cool cakes, then frost with cream cheese frosting.
