Instructions
Boil a large pot of water, add salt, and cook penne according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until soft, about 5 minutes.
Add vodka and cook for 2 minutes until reduced slightly.
Stir in tomato puree and red pepper flakes, simmering for 5 minutes.
Add heavy cream and stir until combined. Cook for 2 more minutes.
Toss penne in the sauce, sprinkle with Parmesan, and serve immediately.
