Greek Moussaka

Ingredients
  

Base

  • 2 eggplants sliced
  • 1 lb ground beef

Sauce

  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter for béchamel
  • 2 tbsp flour for béchamel
  • 1 cup milk for béchamel

Instructions
 

  • Grill eggplant slices until soft, set aside.
  • Cook beef with tomato sauce until thickened.
  • Make béchamel by melting butter, adding flour, then milk, stirring until thick.
  • Layer eggplant, beef, and béchamel in a baking dish, bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes.
  • Serve with a Greek salad.
