Ingredients
  

Gnocchi

  • 1 lb potato gnocchi store-bought or homemade

Sauce

  • 1 can crushed tomatoes 28 oz
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 0.25 cup fresh basil chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.25 cup parmesan cheese grated, for serving

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large pan, sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  • Add crushed tomatoes, simmer for 15 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Boil gnocchi in salted water until they float, about 2-3 minutes, then drain.
  • Stir basil into the tomato sauce, then toss gnocchi in the sauce.
  • Serve with grated parmesan cheese.
