Ingredients
  

Pasta

  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 tbsp salt for pasta water

Sauce

  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Boil a large pot of water, add salt, and cook fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add heavy cream and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese and black pepper until sauce is smooth.
  • Toss fettuccine in the sauce and serve immediately.

Notes

Add grilled chicken or shrimp for extra protein. Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor.
