Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour sifted
  • 1 cup Cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Dark rum
  • 0.5 cup Butter melted
  • 2 Eggs large
  • 1 tsp Baking powder

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and baking powder.

  • Add melted butter, eggs, and rum to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
    0.5 cup Dark rum, 0.5 cup Butter, 2 Eggs
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and cool completely.

For extra flavor, brush the cooled cake with an additional 2 tbsp of rum before serving.
