Tiramisu Cake

A layered sponge cake soaked in coffee and layered with creamy mascarpone, inspired by Italian tiramisu.
Ingredients
- 1.5 cup All-purpose flour sifted
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 4 Large eggs
- 1 cup Mascarpone cheese
- 0.5 cup Strong coffee cooled
- 2 tbsp Coffee liqueur
- 1 tsp Baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a bowl, sift flour and baking powder.1.5 cup All-purpose flour, 1 tsp Baking powder
- Beat eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.1 cup Granulated sugar, 4 Large eggs
- Fold in dry ingredients, pour into pan, and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Cool cake, then slice horizontally. Brush layers with coffee and liqueur mixture.0.5 cup Strong coffee, 2 tbsp Coffee liqueur
- Spread mascarpone between layers and on top. Chill for 1 hour.1 cup Mascarpone cheese
Notes
Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
