Ossobuco alla Milanese

Braised veal shanks with gremolata.
Ingredients
Main
- 2 lb veal shanks
- 1 cup white wine
Base
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 0.5 cup parsley chopped, for gremolata
Instructions
- Brown veal shanks in olive oil, remove.
- Sauté onion, add wine and 1 cup broth, return shanks.
- Braise at 325°F (165°C) for 2 hours.
- Serve with gremolata and risotto.
Notes
Add lemon zest to gremolata for brightness.
