Greek Moussaka

Layered Greek casserole with eggplant, beef, and béchamel.
Ingredients
Base
- 2 eggplants sliced
- 1 lb ground beef
Sauce
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp butter for béchamel
- 2 tbsp flour for béchamel
- 1 cup milk for béchamel
Instructions
- Grill eggplant slices until soft, set aside.
- Cook beef with tomato sauce until thickened.
- Make béchamel by melting butter, adding flour, then milk, stirring until thick.
- Layer eggplant, beef, and béchamel in a baking dish, bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes.
- Serve with a Greek salad.
Notes
Add zucchini for extra layers.
