Fried Chicken

Crispy, golden fried chicken with a seasoned coating.
Ingredients
Chicken
- 4 lb chicken pieces legs and thighs
Batter
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Marinate chicken in buttermilk for 1 hour.
- Mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dip chicken in flour mixture to coat.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C); fry chicken 10-12 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels before serving.
Notes
Serve with mashed potatoes and gravy.
