Chocolate Rum Cake

A rich and moist chocolate cake infused with rum
Ingredients
- 1.5 cup All-purpose flour sifted
- 1 cup Cocoa powder unsweetened
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 0.5 cup Dark rum
- 0.5 cup Butter melted
- 2 Eggs large
- 1 tsp Baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and baking powder.1.5 cup All-purpose flour, 1 cup Cocoa powder, 1 cup Granulated sugar, 1 tsp Baking powder
- Add melted butter, eggs, and rum to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.0.5 cup Dark rum, 0.5 cup Butter, 2 Eggs
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and cool completely.
Notes
For extra flavor, brush the cooled cake with an additional 2 tbsp of rum before serving.
