Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour sifted
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 0.75 cup Ground hazelnuts toasted
  • 3 Large eggs
  • 0.5 cup Butter melted
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp Baking powder

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and ground hazelnuts.
    1.5 cup All-purpose flour, 0.5 cup Cocoa powder, 0.75 cup Ground hazelnuts, 1 tsp Baking powder
  • In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Add melted butter and vanilla extract, mixing well.
    1 cup Granulated sugar, 3 Large eggs, 0.5 cup Butter, 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or spread hazelnut frosting.
