Chocolate Hazelnut Cake

A rich chocolate cake with a nutty hazelnut twist, perfect for special occasions.
Ingredients
- 1.5 cup All-purpose flour sifted
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 0.5 cup Cocoa powder unsweetened
- 0.75 cup Ground hazelnuts toasted
- 3 Large eggs
- 0.5 cup Butter melted
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 tsp Baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and ground hazelnuts.1.5 cup All-purpose flour, 0.5 cup Cocoa powder, 0.75 cup Ground hazelnuts, 1 tsp Baking powder
- In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Add melted butter and vanilla extract, mixing well.1 cup Granulated sugar, 3 Large eggs, 0.5 cup Butter, 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or spread hazelnut frosting.
Notes
Toast hazelnuts for extra flavor before grinding.
