Brazilian Feijoada

Hearty Brazilian black bean stew with pork.
Ingredients
Main
- 1 lb pork shoulder cubed
- 1 cup black beans dry
Seasoning
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 bay leaf
Instructions
- Soak beans overnight, then drain.
- Brown pork in a pot, remove.
- Sauté onion and garlic, add beans, pork, bay leaf, and 4 cups water.
- Simmer for 2 hours until beans are soft.
- Serve with rice and orange slices.
Notes
Add sausage for extra flavor.
