Braised Short Ribs

Tender beef short ribs with red wine sauce.
Ingredients
Main
- 2 lb beef short ribs
- 1 cup red wine
Base
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 carrot chopped
Instructions
- Brown ribs in olive oil, remove.
- Sauté onion and carrot, add wine and 1 cup broth.
- Return ribs, braise at 325°F (165°C) for 3 hours.
- Serve with mashed potatoes.
Notes
Add thyme for flavor.
