Baked Mozzarella Sticks

Crispy and gooey mozzarella sticks, breaded and baked for a healthier appetizer.

Ingredients
Mozzarella
- 8 mozzarella string cheese cut in half
- 0.5 cup flour
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs panko
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 0.5 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with Italian seasoning and salt.
- Dip each mozzarella piece in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs, coating evenly.
- Place coated mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce.
Notes
Freeze mozzarella sticks for 30 minutes before baking to prevent melting. Serve immediately.
