Ingredients
  

Pasta

  • 12 oz cavatappi pasta
  • 1 tbsp salt for pasta water

Sauce

  • 1 lb Italian sausage casings removed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper sliced
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Boil a large pot of water, add salt, and cook cavatappi according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook sausage until browned, about 5 minutes, breaking it up as it cooks.
  • Add bell peppers and sauté for 5 minutes until softened.
  • Stir in marinara sauce and salt, simmering for 5 minutes.
  • Toss cavatappi in the sauce and serve with grated Parmesan.
