Penne with Pumpkin Cream Sauce

Creamy penne pasta with a rich pumpkin cream sauce, perfect for fall.

Ingredients
Pasta
- 12 oz penne pasta
- 1 tbsp salt for pasta water
Sauce
- 1 can pumpkin puree 15 oz
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 0.5 tsp ground nutmeg
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese grated
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of water, add salt, and cook penne according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Sauté garlic for 1 minute.
- Add pumpkin puree, heavy cream, nutmeg, and salt. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Toss penne in the sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Garnish with fresh sage. Add pancetta for extra flavor.
