Pierogi with Potato and Cheese

Polish dumplings filled with potato and cheese, served with sour cream.
Ingredients
Dough
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 0.5 cup water warm
Filling
- 2 potatoes mashed
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 0.25 cup sour cream for serving
Instructions
- Mix flour and water to form a dough, knead until smooth.
- Mix mashed potatoes, cheese, and onion for filling.
- Roll out dough, cut circles, and fill with potato mixture, sealing edges.
- Boil pierogi in salted water for 5-7 minutes until they float.
- Serve with sour cream.
Notes
Pan-fry after boiling for a crispy texture.
