New England Clam Chowder

Creamy clam chowder with potatoes and bacon.
Ingredients
Main
- 2 can clams 6.5 oz, drained
- 2 potatoes diced
Base
- 4 slice bacon chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 onion chopped
Instructions
- Cook bacon until crisp, remove.
- Sauté onion in bacon fat, add potatoes and 2 cups water, cook 15 minutes.
- Add clams and cream, simmer 10 minutes.
- Serve with oyster crackers.
Notes
Add thyme for flavor.
