Sausage and Mushroom Pizza

A hearty pizza with savory Italian sausage, earthy mushrooms, and a rich tomato sauce, perfect for a cozy dinner.

Ingredients
Pizza Dough
- 1 cup water lukewarm
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
Pizza Toppings
- 1 cup red sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
- 1/2 cup Italian sausage cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 cup mushrooms sliced
- 1 tsp basil dried
Instructions
- Combine the water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Rest for 5 minutes.
- Combine the flour and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture and knead until you get a soft ball.
- Place in a bowl and cover. Let rise for 30 minutes.
- Divide the dough and form pizzas.
- Spread red sauce over the dough, add mozzarella cheese, crumbled sausage, and sliced mushrooms. Sprinkle with basil. Cook for 15 minutes on the pizza stone.
Notes
Use spicy Italian sausage for an extra kick or mix in different mushroom varieties for added flavor.
