Pesto alla Genovese

Classic Ligurian basil pesto for pasta.
Ingredients
Main
- 2 cup fresh basil
- 0.5 cup parmesan cheese grated
Seasoning
- 0.25 cup pine nuts
- 1 garlic clove
- 0.5 cup olive oil
Instructions
- Blend basil, pine nuts, garlic, and parmesan in a food processor.
- Slowly add olive oil until smooth.
- Toss with cooked pasta or store in a jar.
- Serve with extra parmesan.
Notes
Use a mortar and pestle for traditional texture.
