Margherita Pizza

A classic Italian pizza with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella.

Ingredients
Dough
- 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup warm water
Toppings
- 0.5 cup tomato sauce
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella sliced
- 0.25 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Mix flour, yeast, salt, and warm water to form a dough. Knead for 10 minutes.
- Let dough rise for 1 hour until doubled.
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone inside.
- Roll out dough, spread tomato sauce, add mozzarella, and drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes. Top with basil before serving.
Notes
Use San Marzano tomatoes for authentic flavor.
