Tortellini with Pesto Cream

Cheese tortellini in a creamy basil pesto sauce, perfect for a quick appetizer.

Ingredients
Pasta
- 12 oz cheese tortellini
- 1 tbsp salt for pasta water
Sauce
- 0.5 cup basil pesto store-bought or homemade
- 0.5 cup heavy cream
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese grated
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of water, add salt, and cook tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat pesto and heavy cream in a skillet over medium heat, stirring until combined.
- Season with salt and simmer for 3 minutes.
- Toss tortellini in the sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Add pine nuts for texture. Use fresh pesto for best flavor.
