Southern Fried Chicken

Crispy fried chicken with buttermilk marinade.
Ingredients
Main
- 2 lb chicken pieces legs and thighs
- 1 cup buttermilk
Coating
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 cup vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Marinate chicken in buttermilk for 2 hours.
- Mix flour with paprika and salt, coat chicken.
- Fry in hot oil until golden, 15 minutes per side.
- Serve with mashed potatoes.
Notes
Use cast iron skillet for best results.
